Coating Process

Double ceramic coating spraying process:

1、Substrate preheating: ensure that the substrate temperature ranges from 50℃ to 65℃ during spraying, and ensure the residual temperature of about 35℃ after the spraying of base coat and top coat is completed.

、Base coat spraying: keep the coating uniform. For the spraying of the base coat, the film thickness is generally controlled as about 20 microns (excluding sand blasting thickness) without exposed base.
    Top coat spraying: keep the coating uniform. The wet-to-wet spraying is adopted for the top coat. The top coat will be directly sprayed after the base coat is sprayed, and the film thickness will be controlled by about 8 microns. Be sure to ensure the uniform spraying.



Single layer ceramic coating spraying process:
1、Substrate preheating: ensure that the substrate temperature ranges from 45℃ to 55℃ during spraying, and ensure the residual temperature of about 35℃ after the spraying of base coat and top coat is completed.
2、Coating spraying: keep the spraying uniform. The spraying film thickness is controlled within about 20-25 microns without unfinished area.



Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating spraying process:

   1、Water-based coatings shall be stirred fully and uniformly before use and can be sprayed only after ensuring that they do not sink to the bottom. But the continuous spraying time shall not exceed 2 hours so as to avoid the coating caking.
2、The drastic stirring speed shall be absolutely avoided so as to avoid the coating caking, such as a handheld dispersing machine.
3、If the base coat is not baked thoroughly, the coating will turn yellow, the glossiness will become lower and even the perforation and bubbling phenomenon will occur. But if the base coat is overbaked, the interlayer adhesion will decrease.
4、The coating shall be filtered before spraying. Especially, the top coat easily crusts, sinks to the bottom and gelatinize during the storage in the bucket. If it is not filtered, the spray gun will be easily blocked during spraying.    
5、It is forbidden to mix different types of coatings. Different types of coatings of different manufacturers or the same manufacturer may be incompatible.
6、The coating storage temperature is 1~40℃, and the static storage period is 6 months. If the coating is not used for a long time, it is suggested that the coating should be sprayed once every two months.




Organic silicone coating spraying process:

I. Pre-treatment:
Substrate: conditioning equipment for aluminum or aluminum alloy and iron products.
Degrease: solvent cleaning, immersion (ultrasonic cleaning), gas cleaning, alkali degreasing, caustic soda or burning solvent emulsification, etc.
Roughening: the roughening treatment is basically unnecessary, but the roughening can improve the quality to a certain degree. (It is suggested that the Puyang treatment should be carried out for aluminum or aluminum alloy products, and the phosphor salt should be carried out for iron products.)
Cleaning: use the high-pressure air (0.4~0.6Mps) for blow wash or the water flow flushing.
II. Pre-drying: pre-heating entity temperature: about 60℃.
III. Spraying process:
Coating dispersion: suggested: rotating and stirring (container rotation number: 50~100rpm, container rotation time: 20 minutes).
Coating filtration: use the 150~20-mesh filter screen for filtration.
Spraying: spray gun caliber: 0.8~1.2mmф
Spraying pressure: 0.2~0.3Mpa
Spraying distance: 20~30㎝
Film thickness (after sintering): 15~20цm
Spraying viscosity: it will be adjusted according to the actual situation (for stock solution spraying, the direct spraying can be carried out.)
The base coat easily cause the precipitation separation, and therefore the stirring and spraying shall be interrupted for more than 30 minutes during use so as to make the coating in the rubber tube flow backward to the coating container through air.

IV. Baking and sintering:
The temperature shall be strictly controlled, otherwise the following situations will occur:
Insufficient sintering: poor adhesive force and coating film properties.
Excessive sintering: it will make the coating film degraded and discolored so as to result in poor coating film properties.

 




Polyether sulfone (PES) coating spraying process

I. Workpiece treatment: degreasing, roughening (sand blasting/suggested: 60-100 mesh sand)
II. Coating dispersion
1. Roll and stir the coating for more than 15 minutes.
2. Spraying viscosity Iwata 2# cup 22-30 seconds.
3. Filtration before spraying (suggested: 120 mesh filter screen).
Precautions:
With different temperatures, the spraying viscosity shall be adjusted properly. When the air temperature is 25-30℃, the viscosity 28-32 seconds can be used as the reference value. When the environmental temperature is low, the spraying viscosity shall be adjusted high. When the environmental temperature is high, the spraying viscosity shall be properly adjusted low. The spraying viscosity shall depend on the actual spraying situation.

III. Spraying
1. The workpiece shall be preheated to about 40℃ before spraying.
2. The workpiece shall enter the furnace as soon as possible after spraying, and the temperature of entering the furnace is more than 80℃.
3. The spraying film thickness shall be controlled within 18-25μm.
Precautions:
The PES system is the coating with strong water absorption, and the water absorption and lacrimation phenomenon very easily occurs when the air humidity is high and the air temperature is low. Therefore, when the environmental temperature is low or the air humidity is high, the workpiece shall be preheated and the workpiece shall very quickly enter the furnace after spraying so as to prevent the coating from absorbing water and having a poor appearance.

IV. Baking
1. Required: 380℃×10 minutes
2. The temperature is excessively low, the coating appearance gloss is slightly higher, and the performance test is influenced.
3. The temperature is excessively high, the coating easily turns yellow, and the non-stick effect becomes poor.
